What's the difference between these two options?
In one word - SECURITY!
Our on-wall slim VidaMount, as shown in the video (click link), has a removable face plate for easy access to the mounted tablet. This is great if you need a tablet mounted semi-permanently, or in locations like a private home, where theft isn't an issue. Because of its easy tablet access design, the VidaMount is flush against the mounting wall surface, with no gaps. This provides a very clean, aesthetically-pleasing look.
On the other hand, if security and theft-deterrence is paramount, then our VESA-ready tablet mounts w. secure brackets are the best option. First, the enclosure acts as a clamshell around the tablet to protect it. The charging port, power & volume buttons, and all other edges of the tablet are fully shielded from the environment and made to be tamperproof - allowing you to get the very best in tablet security. At the same time, all of the cables and wiring are all routed internally to exit out the back, to provide a clean, neat look!
Because of the security bracket involved, a VESA tablet enclosure & mounting bracket combo would have a slight gap between the back of the iPad / tablet and the wall surface, equal to the thickness of the mounting bracket. The complete setup would look similar to an HDTV bracket mounted onto a wall and have the tablet look as if it is "floating" in mid-air.
