"One would typically be envious of a business owner in one of the richest countries in the world per capita. Jealous of our pristine waters, colorful surroundings, pollution free air, and more importantly - the local Bermudians and their unhurried approach to every day life in general.

I am constantly reminded of these accolades by our vendors; my reply is always the same:
“Sure it’s great, the fishing is good, but you have no idea how difficult it is to do business here!”

Living and conducting streamlined business on an island has its definite drawbacks when compared to the rest of the free world. We are inundated with delivery issues, be they air or ocean, delays at Customs, consolidated containers awaiting corrected paperwork before being released, 22.5-33.5% duties on all imported goods, and more importantly Bermuda has a history of being abused by offshore vendors selling product and then just simply disappearing once the invoices are paid. One of the most important factors in our success here is the strong technical support we have established with our carefully chosen suppliers. For that reason we have been chosen as the “go to” company when it comes to new technology. Our clients are comfortable in knowing that if the answer or solution is not immediately available we simply turn to that particular tech support crew and the issues are dealt with. This letter is written in support of arguably the finest example of product support experienced by us to date.

From our first encounter with Steven and Serge at Vidabox in N.Y. a few years back the relationship has grown stronger with each client/case that has come to the table, be they commercial or residential. It has always been light hearted, candid and still that all important focus of end user satisfaction has never been forgotten. As a new distributor we were faced with the usual unknowns, and our queries back to Vidabox must have at times seemed endless. There were calls to Steven on Saturdays while on site that were answered on the second ring, e-mails that were returned on Sundays (even when the NFL was in full season) and theoretical designs we discussed that were within days submitted to us in client presentable formats. All with never the slightest hesitation to make sure were satisfied before he moved on to his next task in line. Truly I always was amazed at the fact he was so accessible, and often commented that he really needs a day off! In fact we do not observe Thanksgiving here in Bermuda and when trying to leave a voice mail on that day was surprised to hear him answer the phone, and still get a full version solution and advice on an installation question.

Perhaps the finest example of the technical support from Vidabox has been their remote access. It doesn’t get any easier than performing steps A through D, and then stepping back with the client to observe their flat screen as a cursor moving at break neck speed while the final touches and programming are performed by someone thousands of miles away. For example, I needed to upgrade my demo system's storage. “Just insert the hard drives, and we will take it from there” were my last instructions from Steve. Never a doubt in my mind that this was the way business should be done!!

Within the arena of custom electronics we understand the ever expanding need to remain up to date with integration and that itself can sometimes be a daunting task. It is certainly comforting to know that someone has your back when you need them - Well done Vidabox Team!"
