Warranty Policy

   
Thank you for purchasing a VidaBox™, the media center / home theater PC (HTPC) system that makes Home Entertainment Simple! We highly recommend that you register your product at http://www.vidabox.com/register.htm within 10 days of purchase to ensure quick warranty service, in the unlikely event it is need. Those who do not register at this time will be required to show proof of purchase (original sales receipt or invoice) when requesting warranty service. Please take some time now to review & familiarize yourself with our warranty policy below.

WARRANTY POLICY:

SYSTEM WARRANTY - ROOMMATE, SLIM, LUX, MAX, ZERO, STEALTH

ALL INCLUSIVE (SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, & LABOR) WARRANTY:
What's covered?
Everything on the VidaBox™ media center - from the software to the hardware, from the keyboard to the remote - is completely covered for thirty (30) days from original date of purchase. Please note our policy on user installed software below. Optional extensions to this all inclusive warranty can be purchased as an upgrade from our E-Shop.

HARDWARE & LABOR WARRANTY:
All VidaBox™ hardware components and accessories originally packaged with the system are warranted for one (1) year from original date of purchase. Non functioning components and accessories will be replaced at no charge including any labor required for the implementation of the repair. Ground shipping charges will also be paid by VidaBox™ for the return shipment of the repair or replacement product. VidaBox™ will replace its products using equivalent components made by various vendors in conjunctions with warranty repairs, and reserve the right to substitute similar products with similar specifications on replacements where exact replacements are unavailable.

TRANSFERABILITY:
The VidaBox™ media center warranty is only transferable from an authorized dealer, not by a private party. This is to protect our customers and assure a high standard of quality for all of our systems. However, we do offer fee-based support and factory restoration for non-authorized products that are resold. Please contact us for details.

USER INSTALLED SOFTWARE:
Malfunctioning systems resulting from user installed software are not covered by this warranty. Repairs to such systems will be quoted on a per instance basis using current VidaBox™ labor rates and shipping costs.

Due to the unique nature of the VidaBox™ media center systems, we do not recommend that any additional user software be installed on the system. These machines have been engineered, assembled, and tested to the highest stability standards, and by changing the software makeup of these systems, the user may inadvertently compromise its stability, and thus, may void the software portion of the warranty. A VidaBox™ should not be viewed as a computer, but rather, as a high end audio-visual, home theater component.

SERIAL NUMBER AND CASE TAMPERING STICKERS:
Every VidaBox™ media center / home theater PC / HTPC is shipped with a serial number tamper resistant sticker applied to the rear of the case. Removal of the serial number sticker shall void the warranty of the VidaBox™. Additionally, every VidaBox™ is shipped with a chassis tampering sticker place on the rear of the case. Removal or damage to the chassis tampering sticker shall void the warranty of the VidaBox™. Every VidaBox™ system accessory is shipped with a unique identification label. Removal of an identification label from an accessory shall void the warranty of the accessory.

ACCESSORY WARRANTY

All VidaBox™ accessories purchased without a VidaBox Media Center system are warranted for ninety (90) days from original date of purchase. Non functioning components and accessories will be replaced at no charge. Ground shipping charges will also be paid by VidaBox™ for the return shipment replacement product. VidaBox™ will replace defective products with the same product if the product is still available. VidaBox™ reserves the right to substitute similar products with similar specifications on replacements where exact replacements are discontinued or unavailable. Returned products and accessories that are found to be functioning properly will be returned with shipping at customers expense.
