Why RACKSERVER™?

The VidaBox™ RackServer™ is a completely new design that encompasses the best features from the RACK series while adding new feature sets that makes installation & management for the integrator faster, while making the end user's experience much simpler. Available in a 4U height, 20" depth chassis, the RackServer runs Windows Home Server as its core operating system.

In addition to features and looks, the RackServer matches the styling of the new RackClientv2™ extender - making them a perfect fit. Alternatively, for in-room extender needs, simply choose the RoomClientHD as well for an installation that is just as simple.

The RackServer does not need to be connected to any TV or monitor, but it does come with DVI and VGA outs for convenience (component optional). For monitoring and service, integrators can easily remote in via Remote Desktop or use the included Windows Connector Software from any VidaBox extender.

Ran out of room with the 7.0TB of onboard storage? It's easy to add more storage to the RackServer at any time using the RackServer+Plus Expansion Unit! You can now get the expandability of a RACK16 at the initial cost of a RACK8.

Starting with 2.0TB, you can connect the RackServer with the the RackServer+Plus, and grow your storage to 16.0TB at any time!

Safe & secure via headless operation	•	RackServer is protected from end users via a passworded console The RackServer is designed to be managed remotely via a passworded Service Console or Remote Desktop, which takes a certain level of technical expertise that VidaBox dealers only have. End users CANNOT get onto the server or download and corrupt the system, making the RackServer safe & secure.
1-step "Disc Drop" Archiving	•	Just drop the disc in, and let the RackServer take over Put your unencrypted Blu-rays, DVDs, and music CDs into the RackServer and let it automatically find cover art, plot synopsis & actor/actress information for movies, and also archive the disc as well. It's never been this easy to catalog an entire collection - no interfaces to go through, no clicking - Just Drop and Go!
Streams all media formats	•	Supports more than 10+ VidaBox extenders RackServer's unique software and hardware configurations allows easy access to any of its content through VidaBox extenders, from movies to pictures, from music to TV shows, and more - everything is streamed through a simple CAT cable over Gigabite LAN.
Simple, easy management via the Service Console	•	Cleverly designed, Icon-based Service Console There's no need to learn new computer commands or languages. No need to remember complicated web address - just log in with a single password or via remote desktop and control everything - storage, shared folder, disc drop archiving, adding/removing users, remote access, and more! RAID5 storage & massive expandability	•	Expand up to 7.0TB onboard, or 16.0TB with RackServer+Plus RackServer's new hardware design allows you to expand a single RackServer's storage to 7.0TB easily, or out to 16.0TB by adding a RackServer+Plus unit. Everything is RAID5 protected, so you know that your data is always safe and protected via VidaBox's 24/7 monitoring.
Optional multi-disc archiving with RoomDisc add-on	•	Archive up to five (5) discs at once Ideal for massive collections, up to (2) RoomDisc add-ons can be combined with the RackServer to allow the archiving of up to five titles at the same time!
