Unlike standard Media Centers and their limited architectures, VidaBox media servers come ready to stream up to 10 or more simultaneous AV streams. To add AV streams, simply add another extender into your setup, and you're ready to go!
When a server & extenders are ordered as a kit, everything is preconfigured at the factory for easy installation. All file shares, permissions, and rights are preset. Simply connect the cables, confirm the AV configuration, and that's it! There's no need to be a computer expert with VidaBox!

| Minimal Maintenance via Auto-updates |
|
Every VidaBox system is pre-configured and is already set to maintain itself automatically. Defragmentation happens once a day for 4 hours during non-use, critical updates are downloaded and auto-installed, and optimization routines run at the end of this maintenance cycle. Combined with ProActive monitoring services, the system easily takes care of itself!
When the extenders need to be serviced for Blu-ray updates, for example, you can always do so remotely via Remote Login (the same assistance mechanism we use here at the factory)! Learn more below! |

Can I mix and match VidaBox media centers with non-VidaBox media extenders and servers?
Since VidaBox media center are engineered for use with other VidaBox equipment, use of other non-VidaBox media centers will not yield optimal performance.
For example, non-VidaBox extenders generally do not stream DVDs, Blu-rays, or have a compromised feature set. These are not limitations set by VidaBox, and for the best experience, using VidaBox equipment is a must.
