Juan,
You must have been using a fairly old version of the add-in and driver as the last 2 iterations hasn't supported that directly. I have updated the CQC driver (version 0.33) and it has a new field called "SendString" that you can use to send a single character or whole string. You can download it from the first post here or from the CQC forums. I haven't tested it so if you could report back that it works that would be great.
Addendum: Got confirmation new functionality is working.

I see a lot of errors from the VMC driver
"The socket is not yet connected"
It comes up as a failure (in red) in the log server monitor.
Why is this error produced and how do I fix it?
If it is because VMC is not running, should the class of message really be a failure or should it be a status?

Hi Mick,
Are you running the new Wmc driver we developed or the original driver developed by CQC?

Hi-
i'm not sure if the WMC AddIn is still supported, but i just tried installing the W7 addin on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and it appears to get all the way through the install and at the last step it tells me that the "commit" stage has failed because 'access is denied'. when i click OK it appears to roll back the install and all i'm left with are a number of .tmp files in the install location.
Looking at the dir before I acknowledge the failure, i can see a number of files including .exe and .dll in that directory before the rollback. i'm not sure what precisely is causing the failure but i tried running as administrator, running in compatibility mode, and disabling AV scan, and nothing seemed to work.
I'm wondering if anyone has had success using the win7 add in on recent versions of w7? on x64?
any advice or guidance would be appreciated,
thanks!

Hi js19707,
Thank you for writing.
The WMC AddIn discussed here is not a public software release - to clarify, if you're using the CQC version of the WMC AddIn, you'll need to contact CQC directly and/or post on their forums for additional support (which is the likely scenario).
The WMC AddIn referred to here is a VidaBox-only software that ships with our Media Systems, and is not released publically. We apologize for any confusion the naming conventions may have caused.

Hi-
i was a vBDP participant and wanted to use the Vidabox templates along with control of WMC via the Vidabox-developed WMC controller tray application and add-in and Vidabox-developed WMC driver.
i understand that the contents are provided as-is, i am really wondering whether i'm doing something wrong with my install, missed a step, etc, and/or if this is a known issue (e.g. works on Vista not on Win 7, works on x86 but not on x64, etc).
or, is there simply a newer version that addresses this issue but is not publicly released? (i.e. i have to buy a vAutomation server)
thanks!

Hi js19707,
The software was never tested under x64. Only x32 was tested and supported against.
