Default VidaBox Media Servers

Steven

There seems to be a lot of news updates with your new Home Automation solution, however, there seems to be very little on the media server/client side of your business.

Please can you give us an update as to your plans for the following:-

OS Support
-----------
Windows 7 SP1 support
Windows Home Server 2

Product Support
----------------
My Movies 4.0
TMT 5

Technology Support
-------------------
HDMI 1.4a (3D Blu-Ray)

Thanks in advance
Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank you for writing.

Win7: Currently shipping
Win7 SP1 systems are shipping, but still seem to have the same bugs as previously reported, notably the focus issue. Win7 SP1 is available at any time as an upgrade for existing systems, or it can be shipped at no extra cost for new systems.

WHS:
On Home Server, we only use it for the core OS, so there are no notable changes.
We're evaluating it right now, but there wouldn't be any new features if we were to switch over to WHS2. (With our mods, we never really did use WHS's core functions.)

MM4:
MM4 is still under eval (they're revising their builds, up to build 2) - we see this as a work in progress at the moment, and we don't want to unnecessarily cause new problems by recommending an upgrade.

TMT5:
We work very closely with Arcsoft, and have decided that TMT5 is not yet ready for "prime time." It will likely be released along with the next gen of systems around summer time. Simultaneously, 3D BD may be supported with TMT5.

Thank you.

Hi

Any chance this thread could be updated with the current progress on each item I listed back in May.

I am aware that Win 7 SP1 is fine, as I am using it on both my clients.

With regards to My Movies there is an upgrade within V3 to V3.21 and there is the new V4 versions.

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,

Thank you for writing.

MM3.21 is now supported and being released.
Win 7 SP1 is offered upon request

The other items listed are being worked on; unfortunately, moving forward, we will no longer publically comment on exact timelines or details, but rest assured they are actively being developed.

Thanks again for your interest!
