I've had the S70 for a few days, here's my current screens. Since it's only really been used for all of 2 hours (1 TV show & 1 DVD and a handful of home automation tasks), i'm sure this is going to change massively as time goes on.
My biggest driver is to find a way to make screens that don't require looking down at the remote. I'm migrating from a URC MX800 with 47 hardbuttons. I wasn't wild about the MX800 as I couldn't get 2way info about the HA stuff, but the wife/kids/I had the no-look control down pat.
Here's 3 of the screens, i'll post the rest when I get a chance.
On the last screen, I think i'm going to pull the channels off and put onto a different screen as we rarely directly enter channels - we primarily watch recorded shows. We have something like 45 favorites entered and I have 1.5TB allocated towards TV, so there's typically something pre-recorded & new.
Two things thing to call out on the last screen:
1) I have the stop button on the bottom left, and play button on the bottom right. The play button is actually a checkbox widget that alternates between play & pause, based on the PlayMode of my extender. (If it's playing it shows the pause button & vice-versa).
2) Since the grey areas guide the user for the hardbuttons, I made the play & stop command buttons far bigger than the actual button - they cover all the way from the corner to a little above the image. I used zOrder'ing to make sure they were above the grey bottom bar.
Both of those together mean that all I have to do is feel for the bottom right or bottom left, and i can have confidence that my fat fingers will still hit the button.
