Where do I start with vAutomation training?
There are multiple levels of vAutomation training.
Before considering Level 1 training, please go through the vAutomation online training area, download & install CQC, watch, and follow along ALL of the videos available. This will provide two tremendous benefits:
1. You will be able to see & feel how CQC - the backbone of the vAutomation platform - before seriously committing. Thus, there will be no surprises at the Level 1 training.
2. Should you decide that this is the right platform for you, this will be a great primer to allow you to "hit the ground running" by familiarizing yourself with the GUI & interface, saving a great deal of time during training.
Is vAutomation hard to learn? How difficult is it compared to other automation solutions?
This greatly depends on yoru background. If you already know how to program in a computer language (C++, C#, VB, Java, etc.), if you have experience programming Crestron, AMX, Pronto remotes, you should have no problems 'picking up' & learning vAutomation and fully understanding the platform quickly.
For traditional AV integrators that have not done much or any programming in the past, it may be challenging. However, we have had many dealers that attended Levels 1 & 2 without any previous programming experience, and understood all of the concepts quickly with some time and practice.
